АННОТАЦИЯ. Настоящее исследование впервые обращается к изучению эффекта «другой расы» в контексте восприятия физической силы по морфологическим маркерам мужского лица на кросс-популяционном материале, включающем представителей монголоидной и европеоидной популяций. Выборка участников исследования составила 1206 человек русской и тувинской этнической принадлежности, оценивавших стандартизированные морфы лиц, сконструированные методами геометрической морфометрии по критерию низкой и высокой физической силы. Статистический анализ проводился с использованием кумулятивных смешанных моделей для порядковых данных (CLMM). Все группы участников значимо различали «сильные» и «слабые» лица среди мужчин как своей, так и другой этнической группы. В совокупности результаты настоящего и более ранних исследований показывают, что существуют широко распространенные, в пределах вида, морфологические признаки мужского лица, которые ассоциируются с физической силой, и люди, независимо от своей этнической принадлежности, способны их определять. Вместе с тем обнаружены различия в точности распознавания: русские респонденты продемонстрировали более высокую ее степень при оценке представителей своей этнической группы, что соответствует классическому эффекту «своей расы». Тувинские респонденты показали инверсированный паттерн — лучшие результаты при оценке русских лиц, что обусловлено более достоверным распознаванием признаков низкой физической силы у русских мужчин.
